Goals are alomst anything you desire. They serve as a guide for what you do and what you can work toward. Goals can help you do your best and achive the things you want in life.
What is goal setting?
Goal setting is a process designed to motivate people to make lifestyle changes toward self-improvement.
What is the difference between long-term goals and short-term goals?
Long term goals are goals that can take many months or even years to complete. On the other hand, short-term goal can be done much quicker as in days or weeks.
What are the steps necessary for successful goals setting?
Step 1- Desire: Wanting to improve yourself in some way is essential before you can start setting goals.
Step 2- Belief: If you really believe you can do something, you have a chance of accomplishing it. (If you dont, you won't)
Step 3- Analyze Where You Are Now: Fitness testing helps you to know what your starting points are in regard to your flexiblity, cardiovascular efficiency, muscular strength and endurance, and body composition.
Step 4- Set Realistic Goals: Realistic goals are both reachable and challenging.
Step 5- Write Your Goals in Detail: Putting goals down on paper helps you clarify what you want to do.
