Why is physical fitness a personal matter?
One of the most important factors that determines how you feel about yourself is the condition of your body. It is best to keep an open mind about personal fitness. Don't let people influence you in a negative way. Everyone is different and have there own goals.
How do some people neglect their health by choosing not to participate in physical activity?
The examples go as followed: lack of athletic ability, past experience with youth sports, heredity, and finally media influence. In most cases people just don't have enough confidence in themselves to realize they can do anything they want to.
What are the primary health risk factors, and which ones may be controlled?
Those who are active have fewer heart problems. Cholesterol is found in cells. There are controllable and non-controllable risk factors. Controlled- obesity, high blood pressure, high levels of cholesterol, stress, tension, and smoking. Non-Controlled- gender, heredity, and age.
What benefits are gained by exercising?
The examples go as followed: improved appearance, improved self-control, improved body image, improved health, increased muscular strength and endurance, increased level of energy, and improved physical performance.
What is the relationship between wellness and personal fitness?
Physical activity provides relief and a refreshing, exhilarating effect on your life. Wellness can be defined as the total commitment to living a healthy and active lifestyle dedicated to optional fitness and personal health.
What is a personal fitness program (PFP)?
PFP is a plan designed to help you select activities that will enable you to improve your lifestyle. Includes physical activities to help you have more energy, become stronger, more flexible, burn calories and most important live longer.

Physical Fitness - Having the energy and strength to participate in a variety of activities; the ability of the body systems to work together efficiently; something you acquire through physical activity and exercise.
Health Risk Factors - Those factors associated with disease, disability, and premature death. Anything that increases a person's chance of a health problem occurring.
Inactivity - The lack of physical activity and exercise.
Obesity - A condition characterized by excessive deposits of fat on the body. The condition of being very overfat or having a very high percentage of body fat.
Cholesterol - A waxy, fat-like substance found in animal tissue.
Diabetes - The body's inability to regulate sugar metabolism.
Body Image - The way one sees oneself physically.
